In the kidney team at the Department of Urology, Aarhus University Hospital, we aim to improve outcomes for patients with surgically treated kidney diseases. My research focuses on kidney transplantation, kidney cancer, and kidney fibrosis through clinical studies and large experimental animal models. I have been a key driver in developing major models for renal ischemia-reperfusion injury and renal transplantation.
