Enhancing groundwater resource management through remote sensing and ecohydrological nature-based solutions in Ethiopia

The project focuses on innovative integrated water resource management in Ethiopia. It combines advanced technologies in remote sensing, deep learning, transient electromagnetic methods, and ecohydrological methods to enhance water management and address challenges to climate change and biodiversity loss.

The project's objectives revolve around the remote detection of groundwater recharge zones, optimizing water use, and improving water quality. Leveraging globally available remote sensing datasets, the project aims to promote self- sufficiency in local water capture solutions and the enhancement of natural systems without extensive funding.
