My research focuses on hybrid testing methods for large mechanical systems, particularly wind turbines. Hybrid testing combines physical laboratory experiments with numerical simulations, creating both new opportunities and unique challenges. In my PhD project, I work on Kane’s method for numerical modelling, force control for coupling the physical and numerical substructures, and Model Predictive Control for real-time hybrid testing.
