Professor Claus Aage Grøn Sørensen will celebrate his 40th anniversary in the service of research on 25 September 2026.

From 40 Years of insight to the Smart Farming of the future

Claus Grøn Sørensen began his career at the Agricultural Engineering Research Centre, Bygholm, later continuing at the Department of Agricultural Engineering within the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences, and since 2007 at Aarhus University, where he has been based in and headed the Operations Management research group. Throughout his career, his work has focused on technological innovation in the agri-food sector, including, in recent years, intelligent systems and Smart Farming in an increasingly digital world. International collaboration has been a cornerstone of his research, particularly through extensive involvement in international projects and scientific organizations.
