Our PhD student, Asbjørn Cortnum Jørgensen, will present his preliminary results on porcine retinal tissue culturing with a poster at the ARVO Annual Meeting in Seattle, US, May 5-9th 2024. We wish Asbjørn a good conference and look forward to get updated from one of the worlds largest eye conferences. 

We hosted our final annual meeting in the 'BIRD' project (funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation) about photovoltaic retinal implants here in Aarhus. We had several cross-disciplinary meetings between the four different research groups in our consortium (Bek group - AUH, Keller group - DTU Nanolab, Yonehara group - NIG, Japan), laboratory visits and concluded two fruitful days in Aarhus with a nice dinner. Part of our discussions were how to continue the BIRD project after our grant ends this year.
