IEA Wind Task 61 VRE-Hydrogen Danish Consortium

Denmark has been a pioneer in renewable energy solutions, consistently pushing the boundaries of innovation. As the integration of Variable Renewable Energy (VRE) with hydrogen production and storage becomes increasingly vital, it is essential for Denmark to maintain its leadership in this field.

This project secures strong Danish representation in the IEA Wind Task 61 on VRE and Hydrogen integration. Prominent Danish research institutions will contribute by compiling ongoing research findings and industry best practices, creating a comprehensive overview of VRE-hydrogen plant design, operation, and regulation, within the task’s work packages. Participants will engage in research publications, data collection, reporting, and disseminating key findings for Danish stakeholders and the IEA Task, fostering new insights into the business cases, design frameworks, and operational strategies for VRE and hydrogen integration.

The collaboration within the IEA Task will enhance Danish industry expertise, equipping businesses with the knowledge to seamlessly integrate VRE with hydrogen technologies.
