I am happy to announce that we have a job opening for a PhD-candidate, with full scholarship, in my new group at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University.
The project aims to develop a high speed spatial light modulator based on MEMS integrated metasurface.
The project entails numerical simulations, micro- and nanofabrication (cleanroom), and electrical and optical characterization. The applicants should be willing to work with a wide range of experimental and theoretical topics. The applicants shall be able to work independently, as well as in a group.
Submission deadline is March 31st, 2026, with preferred starting date Sept 1st, 2026 (can be discussed).

Welcome new master student Zian Liang. Zian is doing on her master thesis project with our group (2025 fall semester). Her project focus on spectral phase singularity with metasurface for light wave control.
Welcome new PhD student Jawad Hasan. Jawad started his PhD journey from Sept 2025. His project aims to develop a new type of environment friendly optical display based on MEMS and metasurface structural colours for comsumer electronics.
MEMS & Nano-Optics group starts freshly from Nov. 2023. We are a small group of people who have interests in optics, devices, opto-electro charanterization, micro-nano fabrication, and as well as exploring and enjoying curiosities and challenges.
