The mission of the Biomedical Engineering Section is to provide leading-edge contributions to the improvement of human health and welfare through translational biomedical engineering research and education.

The section is managing a bachelor of engineering program in Healthcare Technology and a master’s program in Biomedical Engineering. The interdisciplinary nature and culture of Biomedical Engineering is thriving through the close collaboration with the Faculty of Health and the Aarhus University Hospital. This network along with other national and international partners, collaborators, and stakeholders ensures a continuous development of our educational programs and provide a direct clinical and industrial edge to the scientific discoveries, translational research, and innovation activities within our center and laboratories.
