This research field is focusing on the development of data communication and powering technologies for brain implants. Tens of thousands of recording-stimulating channels to be implanted inside the brain for the ultimate vision of creating a platform for monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment of brain disorders. The communication part of this platform is able to transfer a large amount of data acquired by the recording channels. Also, it addresses the communication between implants, and data transfer to the stimulation part for interacting with the brain. While the powering part is required to cover the power demand of all recording and stimulation channels along with the edge-processing unit to be implanted.
